Job summary

ALTEN Group, with ANOTECH delivering ALTEN's services in Singapore, seeks a Software Engineer for backend development. You will join a cross-functional scrum team to build features for a mobile connectivity service, focusing on Java-based solutions deployed on GCP Serverless.

We require 5+ years of Java development, plus strong Linux, Docker, CI/CD, REST APIs and Karate testing experience. You will collaborate across teams, review requirements, and document technical details.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Bachelors degree in CS/Software/EE/Telecom/IT or related field.
• 5+ years of development experience with Java technologies.
• Experience with GCP Serverless, Linux, Docker, CI/CD, REST APIs, Karate.
• Knowledge of relational databases, design patterns, and microservices.

Responsibilities

• Develop backend features as part of a complex solution.
• Contribute to technical product and user documentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional scrum teams.
• Work with other subsystems to integrate the solution.
• Ensure compliance with development rules and best practices.
• Review requirements, identify issues and risks.
• Manage technical risks with project and engineering leads.
• Provide regular task and risk reports.
