As a member of the IT team inSingapore, the senior IT business analyst officer is also expected to contributeto the cohesion of the IT team.
Engage closely with traders, risk managers, and middle office teams to gather, analyze, and document business requirements related to trade booking, trade life cycle events, short-term trading activities, and risk/P&L reporting. Analyze existing business processes, workflows, and system behaviors to identify functional gaps, operational inefficiencies, control weaknesses, and compliance risks. Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications, ensuring alignment with global architecture, technology standards, and industry best practices. Design and document workflows, data flows, business rules, and use cases to support enhancement initiatives and maintain end-to-end requirements traceability. Collaborate with development teams to ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with business objectives.
Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the front-to-back trade life cycle, with a particular focus on pricing, risk sensitivities (Greeks), P&L explain, and valuation processes. Partner closely with Market Risk and Product Control teams to enhance the accuracy, transparency, and effectiveness of risk reporting, valuation controls, and limit monitoring frameworks. Validate risk engine outputs and support the testing, calibration, and implementation of new risk models, methodologies, and metrics in collaboration with Quantitative Analysts and Development teams. Analyze and investigate valuation, risk, and P&L discrepancies, ensuring timely identification and resolution of issues impacting risk reporting and business performance. Act as a liaison between business stakeholders, risk functions, and technology teams to ensure risk management requirements are accurately reflected within trading and risk management systems.
Serve as the primary functional bridge between business stakeholders (Front Office, Market Risk, Operations, Finance) and local/global IT teams. Communicate business priorities, constraints, and dependencies clearly to ensure alignment across all stakeholders. Manage stakeholder expectations and facilitate decision-making throughout the project lifecycle. Lead workshops, requirement gathering sessions, and user feedback forums to identify opportunities for process and system improvement. Promote effective collaboration between regional and global teams to ensure successful project delivery and operational support.
