Job summary

1011 United Overseas Bank Ltd is seeking an experienced Interest Rate Strategist to join the Global Economics & Markets Research team in Singapore. You will model and forecast rate paths, craft regular outlook reports and guidance for clients, and collaborate with economists, market strategists and sales teams.

You will present findings to internal stakeholders and external clients, participate in media engagements, and contribute to ad hoc rate analyses in a fast-changing market environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience as an interest rate strategist or similar role.
• A major in economics or quantitative finance is preferred.
• Strong quantitative modelling background and Bloomberg skills.

Responsibilities

• Modelling, forecasting and analysing interest rate trends and yields.
• Produce regular outlook literature and reports (Markets Overview, Rates & FX, Global Outlook).
• Engage internal stakeholders and external clients with clear presentations.
• Contribute to ad hoc rate and credit research when markets move.
• Serve as a UOB ambassador on rate outlook and insights.
