Title:

Senior Inside Sales Specialist

Our Singapore office is seeking an Inside Sales Specialist to support the growth of our Integrated Solutions – International business unit. Our business focuses on sustainable solutions in the upstream and downstream hydrocarbon markets across the spectrum of onshore, offshore, brownfield, greenfield, operations, and maintenance/industrial services. We offer a range of professional services from front-end feasibility and conceptual studies through pre-FEED, FEED, detailed design, EPC, EPCm, and PMC. Our operation covers all regions outside of the Americas for ISI.

The primary responsibility of the Inside Sales Specialist is to drive disciplined application of our sales process, efficient and accurate reporting, commercial leadership and team management. The Inside Sales Specialist, in partnership with sales leads and operations leaders, positions us to win work and supports the growth of our business. This position will report to Manager, Inside Sales

The Inside Sales Specialist will:

  • Manage the regional Client Relationship Management System (Salesforce)

  • Collaborate with the sales team to recognize efficiency through the sharing of materials, information, knowledge, and best practices

  • Ensure that costs are benchmarked and represent value for money within the competition and selection process

  • Produce sales reports for regional management, business unit, and executive leadership

  • Improve day-to-day efficiencies (reporting, benchmarking)

  • Support sales and operations in research activities, including client, competitor, and market research; development of core client strategies; participation in the development of executive summaries and white papers

  • Develop commercial principles and remuneration bases for pursuits and/or joint venture relationships

  • Actively work with sales and operations to develop and implement upfront positioning action plans, including developing win plans, competitor analyses, strategy reviews, and identifying project teams

  • Support sales leads with external meetings, presentations, and negotiations

  • Undertake due diligence for commercial, legal, and financial risks

  • Manage pursuits through the bid approval process and recommend pricing and commercial positions

  • Lead the commercial aspects of the bid process, including close collaboration with Operations and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) such as legal, tax, finance, compliance, commercial, and risk

  • Lead the commercial and contractual elements of the Sales Handover Process

  • Implement commercial strategies aligned with the business objectives and pursuit requirements

  • Manage operational interfaces to deliver winning proposals

  • Manage the commercial and contractual elements of the Sales Handover Process

  • Support the regional operation to meet business objectives

Job Requirements:

  • Degree in Engineering, Science, Procurement/Subcontracts, or a similar discipline

  • Minimum 8 or more years of combined experience (risk management, contract administration, commercial management, business development, proposals management, project controls, estimating, and/or project engineering/management) in the engineering and construction industry

  • Strong and demonstrated background in the hydrocarbon contractor industry (as a prime services contractor) across the upstream and/or downstream markets

  • Demonstrated experience in business processes in either sales or operational aspects

  • Good understanding of sales/proposal principles would be advantageous

  • Interpersonal skills – the role requires frequent interchange of information and interaction with others. The individual must be an excellent communicator (including presenting to business leadership) and a team player

  • Commercial focus with comprehensive analytical skills, commercial acumen, and a strong eye for detail; proficiency in Excel analytics (Power BI would be an added advantage)

  • Multi-tasking – will be working on multiple activities/pursuits at any time and across our global organization

  • Works well under limited supervision and direction
