Role: Contract

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Infrastructure and Network Project Manager to support a leading Banking and Financial Services organization.

This role involves leading and managing large-scale banking infrastructure projects, including data center migrations, enterprise network upgrades, and IT platform refreshes, ensuring project delivery is timely, within scope, within budget, and compliant with regulatory and audit standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Plan, lead, and execute data center, network, storage, and systems infrastructure projects within a regulated banking environment.
2. Manage the full project lifecycle, including budgeting, scheduling, resource allocation, risk management, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.
3. Ensure all project documentation (status reports, project plans, meeting minutes) is consistent, detailed, and of a professional standard suitable for senior stakeholders and audit reviews.
4. Lead senior stakeholder management by communicating clearly, confidently, and proactively with CIOs, Risk Teams, IT Infrastructure SMEs, users, and external vendors.
5. Drive and monitor project budgets, cash flow forecasting, cost management, and P&L considerations.
6. Conduct risk assessments, identify project issues early, and implement robust mitigation plans.
7. Facilitate and manage vendor relationships and contracts, ensuring performance tracking and deliverables align with project goals.
8. Ensure post-implementation support is properly transitioned into operational teams with complete documentation, troubleshooting, and training as required.
9. Support corporate workplace-driven weekend change events and other production cutovers when necessary.
10. Align project delivery with regulatory, risk, and compliance requirements throughout all project phases.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
2. Minimum 8-10 years of experience leading large-scale IT infrastructure projects in banking or financial services.
3. Strong experience managing data center builds, network refreshes, platform migrations, and storage upgrades.
4. Solid technical understanding of networking (LAN/WAN, SDN, firewalls, routers, switches), servers, storage, and cloud-based technologies.
5. Excellent command of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, PMI frameworks).
6. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interface at all levels of the organization.
7. Demonstrated ability to work under high pressure and in highly regulated environments.
8. High-quality documentation and presentation skills with strong attention to detail (consistent formatting, audience-appropriate terminology).
9. Relevant certifications are preferred: PMP, PRINCE2, ITIL, or technical certifications like Cisco CCNP, Microsoft MCSE.
10. Experience with tools such as MS Project, JIRA, Confluence, ServiceNow is highly advantageous.
