Senior Infrastructure Engineer

As a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of designing and managing cutting-edge network and cloud systems. Responsibilities:

Network Management

1. Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.

2. Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation.

3. Ensure network security through best practices and security protocols.

Cloud Infrastructure Management

1. Deploy, manage, and scale cloud resources (e.g., virtual machines, storage, databases) on platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

2. Implement and manage cloud networking components such as virtual private clouds (VPCs), subnets, NACLs, and security groups.

3. Automate cloud infrastructure deployment using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.

4. Set up and implement Direct Connect between on-premises and AWS.

Integration and Optimization

1. Integrate on-premises network infrastructure with cloud environments to ensure seamless connectivity.

2. Optimize resource usage and cost management in the cloud.

3. Implement disaster recovery and backup solutions.

Security and Compliance

1. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

2. Implement security measures to protect data and infrastructure from threats.

Vendor Management

1. Manage relationships with vendors and service providers to ensure timely delivery of services and products.

2. Evaluate vendor performance and negotiate contracts to achieve the best terms and conditions.

Requirements:

1. Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business IT, or equivalent.

2. Certifications in Cisco (CCNA/CCNP), Fortinet NSE4, and AWS Solutions Architect Associate.

3. Minimum 5 years of experience supporting network operations and implementation.

4. Proficient in supporting Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Azure/AWS Cloud.

5. Familiar with IP Protocols (ICMP, UDP, TCP); Routing Protocols (BGP, OSPF); Quality of Service; MPLS; Ethernet (STP, RSTP, VLANs).

6. Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for complex network issues.

7. Solid understanding of change management and version control procedures.

8. Knowledge of IP address management and subnetting.

9. Familiar with monitoring tools such as PRTG and SolarWinds.

10. Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical information to all stakeholders.

11. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
