Job summary

Lumilens in Singapore is seeking a Senior/Staff Industrial Engineer to join our production team. You will oversee production line setup, capacity planning, layout optimization, and continuous improvement of manufacturing efficiency using Lean tools and CAD/AutoCAD.

You will lead time-and-motion studies, supervise cost control initiatives, and ensure ergonomic and OSHA-compliant workplaces as part of cross-functional collaboration across engineering, operations, and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience, preferably in semiconductor, optoelectronics, and volume engineering.
• Proven experience in production line setup, capacity planning, and resource management.
• Proficiency with CAD/AutoCAD tools for factory layout and design.
• Strong background in workflow optimization, time studies, and motion studies.
• Hands-on experience implementing Lean tools such as 5S, Kaizen, and Value Stream Mapping (VSM).
• Experience tracking production costs against budgets and justifying capital expenditures (CapEx) for new machinery.
• Knowledge of ergonomic best practices and OSHA compliance requirements in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with regular data analysis and waste reduction strategies.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; effective communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Process Optimization: Analyze workflows to eliminate production bottlenecks and streamline manufacturing processes.
• Facility & Layout Design: Oversee production line setup and layout to maximize workflow efficiency; design factory layouts using CAD/AutoCAD.
• Quality & Cost Control: Monitor defect rates and lead root-cause investigations to drive corrective action; track costs against budgets.
• Safety & Ergonomics: Assess workstations, enforce OSHA compliance across cells, and improve workplace safety and comfort.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with engineering, operations, and quality teams to implement process improvements.
