Job summary

Hanwha Ocean EPU is seeking an ICSS Senior Engineer to lead the design, integration, and optimization of automation, safety, and control systems for offshore FPSO assets. You will drive early-phase engineering from Concept through FEED, ensuring compliant, robust ICSS architectures that meet lifecycle performance requirements across challenging offshore environments.

The role requires 10+ years in ICSS, strong DCS/SIS/ESD and F&G expertise, and the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in ICSS design and implementation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and evaluate design concepts for DCS, ESD, and F&G systems in offshore applications.
• Support ICSS architecture and network topology definition across system levels.
• Produce control narratives, cause & effect diagrams, and IO lists per project specs.
• Collaborate with electrical, instrumentation, process, and telecom teams to ensure cohesive integration.
• Identify interface risks or control conflicts across multiple systems.
• Participate in design reviews and support FAT/SAT with vendors and stakeholders.
• Ensure ICSS design activities follow IEC and API project guidelines.
• Support functional safety reviews and SIL classification processes.
• Assist in cybersecurity compliance per IEC 62443 (preferred).
• Prepare deliverables for Pre-FEED/FEED phases and input for proposals.
• Contribute to cost estimation and material selection for ICSS packages.
• Stay current on digitalization, remote operations, cybersecurity, and automation.
• Improve system efficiency, maintainability, and reliability across offshore facilities.
