Job summary

OX CONSULTANCY PTE. LTD. seeks an experienced Applications Programmer skilled in IBM i AS400 to lead application development, enhancements and production support for enterprise systems.

You will design, implement and maintain RPG-based applications, optimize DB2 for i queries, and collaborate with business users and infra teams to deliver robust solutions. Strong mentoring and incident-management capabilities are a plus.

Qualifications

• Degree in computer science, information technology, engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in application programming or software development.
• Strong hands-on IBM i / AS400 / iSeries experience.
• Strong RPG/RPGLE, Free Format RPG, SQLRPGLE and CLLE skills.
• Solid DB2 for i and SQL knowledge; able to work on production issues.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, enhancement and production support for IBM i applications.
• Analyze requirements and translate into scalable IBM i solutions.
• Develop and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, and triggers for DB2 for i.
• Investigate production incidents, perform root-cause analysis and resolution.
• Guide testing, deployment, release and change management activities.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure high quality and performance.
