Job description:

Responsibilities:

1. Assist in manpower and resource scheduling and deployment, daily man-hour returns and coordinate all aspects of site issues for repair projects
2. Liaise with client and comply with inspection requirements
3. Monitor job progress and ensure quality work at targeted schedule
4. Study and evaluate the work processes and methods of the department and explore new ideas to improve work quality and productivity
5. Resolve any technical problems or issues with client
6. Evaluate technical and engineering requirements of the jobs
7. Obtain and monitor drawings and technical information
8. Prepare reports on job status and project completion
9. Conduct Risk Assessment and hazard reporting
10. Attend VSCC Meeting, progress meeting, production meeting etc
11. Do bi-weekly production planning

Requirements:

1. Diploma/Degree in Marine/Mechanical Engineering or related fields
2. Preferably with 2-5 years' working experience in a mechanical related field
3. Applicants with no prior experience are welcomed to apply
4. Knowledge in Ship Repairs and Conversions projects will be advantageous
5. Understanding how to read and follow mechanical schematic diagrams and 2D drawings
6. Willing to hand-on and perform maintenance on mechanical systems using tools such as Wrenches, Spanners, Bore Gauge and Calipers
7. Able to work in outdoor environment- Heat, Grease and Dust
8. Resourceful, committed, independent and a good team player
