Job summary

A leading biotechnology company is looking for a Senior HR Specialist to enhance their human resources efforts in Singapore. The role will focus on managing recruitment, employee relations, compliance, and supporting various HR initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR, especially within the biotech sector, coupled with excellent communication skills in Mandarin and English.

Qualifications

As the company scales its workforce to support rapid scientific and commercial growth, they are now seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior HR Specialist to support core HR functions and drive people-related initiatives in Singapore.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and support the end-to-end recruitment process, including candidate sourcing, interview coordination, and onboarding
  • Partner with business units to resolve employee relations issues and ensure a positive work environment
  • Assist in implementing HR policies and procedures in compliance with local labor laws and company standards
  • Support the execution of performance management, training, and development programs
  • Maintain and update HR records, employee data, and HRIS with accuracy and confidentiality
  • Administer compensation and benefits programs, including payroll coordination and vendor management
  • Support HR projects such as engagement surveys, culture initiatives, or internal audits
  • Provide HR reporting and data analysis to support business decision-making

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • At least 5 years of HR experience, ideally within the biotech, pharmaceutical, or life sciences industries
  • Strong knowledge of HR compliance practices
  • Hands-on experience with recruitment, employee lifecycle management, and HR operations
  • Proficiency in HR systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Fluent in Mandarin and English (spoken and written)
