A leading company in the maritime industry is seeking a Human Resources Officer to manage recruitment, employee onboarding, and payroll processes. The role requires a Diploma or Degree in Human Resource Management and offers the opportunity to contribute to various HR administrative functions and employee welfare initiatives in a dynamic environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Human Resources:
Provide support in recruitment process, including job posting, candidate sourcing, and interview coordination.
Assist in employee onboarding & offboarding.
Assist employees with HR-related issues, such as leave and compensation matters.
Maintain employee records with all relevant information, as well as employee files and records in electronic and paper form.
Processing of work passes application, renewal and cancellation related matters.
Assist in preparing HR documents such as employment contracts, confirmations, salary adjustments, and termination letters.
Provide support in the development and implementation of policy documentation.
Collaborates with other administrative personnel and/or outside parties (e.g., IRAS, MOM, auditors, etc.) to ensure in compliance with company policies, laws, and/or regulatory guidelines.
Assist in insurance policies, including health, workers’ compensation, liability insurance, insurance claims and renewal processes.
Provide support in Bi-Annual Performance Review and Assessment for various departments and individual employees.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR database, employee records and filing of documents.
Assist in employee training and development.
Assist in monthly payroll process, benefit compensation, and reimbursement for local and overseas employees, monthly CPF submission and government claims (Childcare, Maternity Claim, NS, etc).
Provide support in employment Income Tax related (IR21 and IR8A) and compliance with relevant statutory requirements.
Assist in HR and administrative duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Administration:
Manage office administration including reception duties when necessary, office supplies and telecommunication services and IT related matters.
Support in welfare-related events, including company functions, team building activities, etc.
Assist in booking travel tickets, accommodation and travel insurance for employees.
Handle Portnet and Digitalport matters, serving as the Point of Contact for MPA-related matters.
Maintain electronic and hard copy filing systems.
Tabulate spreadsheet for staff medical/dental/expenses claims.
Oversee contracts for office cleaners.
Assist in onboarding and offboarding in administration matters.
Application of Travel Visa for employees.
Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Requirement:
Minimum Diploma/Degree in Human Resource Management
Minimum 3 to 4 years relevant working experience
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills to engage employees at different levels
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
Great interpersonal skills
Knowledge of Singapore employment, labour law and HR best practices
Team player and ability to maintain professional levels of integrity and discretion in handling confidential and sensitive matters
