Job summary

Fujitsu Asia Pte Ltd in Singapore seeks an HPC Engineer/Senior HPC Engineer/Scientist to manage Linux-based HPC clusters, storage, and networking used by researchers, staff and students.

The role covers administration, performance optimization, and collaboration with software engineers for AI/DL workloads. You will guide researchers on HPC development, debugging, and parallelization, and supervise production operations and end-user support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Preferably with at least 5 years’ experience with large-scale HPC systems.
• Good understanding of management and performance optimization techniques associated with HPC
• Exposure to HPC code optimization and parallelization
• Language and Library: Fortran, Open MP, MPI, C, C++
• Linux Operating systems
• Knowledge of numerical simulation application such as climate research, weather forecasting and aeronautics simulation

Responsibilities

• Administration and operation of HPC Linux clusters, storage, networking and associated software.
• Understand and work with parallel file systems, HPC cluster management software, and HPC job scheduler software.
• Troubleshooting hardware, software, operating systems and networking as necessary.
• Work with our software engineer to support our AI/DL applications and our desktop engineer to help with user problems as required.
• Advice and guidance to researchers for HPC application development, debugging, optimization and parallelization
• Operation supervisor of HPC including but not limited to end user use of HPC computer and production support related to HPC application use
• HPC production operation on behalf of end users for limited case
• HPC application training to researchers, post doc, university students
