Job summary

Fujitsu Singapore is seeking an experienced HPC Operations Supervisor to administer and operate multiple HPC Linux clusters, storage, and networking, alongside system and application software. You will collaborate with software engineers to support AI/DL applications and with desktop engineers to assist users.

The role involves guiding researchers in HPC development, debugging, optimization, and parallelization, managing end-user HPC usage, and delivering HPC training to researchers, postdocs,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Preferably with at least 5 years’ experience with large-scale HPC systems.
• Good understanding of management and performance optimization techniques for HPC.
• Exposure to HPC code optimization and parallelization is a plus.
• Familiarity with Fortran, OpenMP, MPI, C, and C++.
• Experience with Linux operating systems.
• Understanding of numerical simulation applications such as climate research and weather forecasting.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Administration and operation of several HPC Linux clusters, storage, networking and associated system and application software.
• Understand and work with parallel file systems, HPC cluster management software, and HPC job scheduler software.
• Troubleshooting hardware, software, operating systems and networking as necessary.
• Work with our software engineer to support our AI/DL applications and our desktop engineer to help with user problems as required.
• Advice and guidance to researchers for HPC application development, debugging, optimization and parallelization
• Operation supervisor of HPC including but not limited to end user use of HPC computer and production support related to HPC application use
• HPC production operation on behalf of end users for limited case
• HPC application training to researchers, post doc, university students
