Job summary

Grasshopper Asset Management is expanding its trading team in Asia and seeks Senior HFT Traders or Portfolio Managers with a proven track record and strong risk discipline. You will develop high-frequency or intraday strategies, manage sophisticated algorithms, and collaborate across trading, research and technology teams.

You’ll leverage quantitative methods, monitor markets, and adapt strategies to changing dynamics while ensuring regulatory compliance and sound risk controls.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in high-frequency trading or portfolio management.
• P&L of USD 5mm+/year or equivalent performance.
• Own or operate successful alphas/strategies and willing to bring them to Grasshopper.
• Experience with index roll or index arb strats may be considered.
• Deep knowledge of financial markets and trading technology; regions include Asia and beyond.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute high-frequency or intraday trading strategies in a fast-paced environment.
• Manage and optimise trading algorithms and systems using quantitative analysis.
• Collaborate with trading, research and technology teams to refine models and strategies.
• Monitor market conditions and adjust trading strategies to stay ahead of trends.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and robust risk management practices.
