Job summary

An engineering firm in Singapore is seeking a Process Engineer to design various types of heat exchangers, conduct process calculations, and coordinate with various stakeholders. The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor's degree in chemical or mechanical engineering and have over 8 years of experience in the oil & gas and petrochemical industries, with expertise in HTRI software and knowledge of industry standards.

Qualifications

Job description

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Process Design of Various types of Heat Exchangers (shell and tube heat exchanger, air cooled heat exchanger, condenser and reboiler) based on the client provided process data/details.

2. Responsibility involves review of client process details, P&ID study, Process/thermal design of heat exchangers using HTRI software, optimization of heat exchangers during bid stage. Selection of heat exchangers materials (tubes, tubesheets, baffles etc), tube layouts selection, including process calculations.

3. Mechanical designs calculations, material specifications and purchase requisition etc will be an added advantage.

4. Coordination with inter-disciplines, other departments and third party.

5. Preparation / review of techno-commercial estimations for static equipment, including heat exchangers.

6. Coordination with inter-discipline departments, clients / consultants and inspection agencies.

Skills Required:

1. Well versed with HTRI or other heat exchanger process/thermal design software.

2. Well versed with PV Elite or Compress for mechanical design.

3. Good knowledge of major industry Codes and Standards (e.g., TEMA, ASME, API, etc.) applicable to Pressure Equipment and Heat Exchangers

4. Familiar to Clients Engineering Standards and Specifications.

1. Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or mechanical engineering.

2. Minimal 8 years working experience in Consulting, Engineering (EPC environment) related to oil & gas and petrochemical industries.
