Job summary

Synapxe is seeking an AI/ML Engineer to design, deploy, and support AI/ML solutions within Epic ecosystems. You will work closely with clinicians, data scientists, and Epic teams to translate requirements into safe, scalable AI-enabled workflows.

Responsibilities include end-to-end deployment, architecture definition, validation, and monitoring to ensure performance, security, and clinical safety across Epic Nebula and cognitive computing frameworks.

Qualifications

• Degree in CS, data science, AI, engineering, statistics or related field.
• Strong Python programming skills.
• Proficiency in SQL and relational databases.
• Experience with ML development, deployment, monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end AI deployment projects from use-case to production.
• Define AI architecture, deployment standards, validation frameworks.
• Review model design and challenge unsafe assumptions.
• Assess model accuracy, explainability, and operational usefulness.
• Mentor junior engineers, analysts, and data scientists.
• Present AI risks and results to governance committees.
• Collaborate with clinicians, data scientists, Epic teams to gather requirements.
• Translate clinical/operational needs into technical integration specs.
