A leading company in the sustainability sector seeks a Senior HSSE Officer responsible for implementing and managing WSH/HSSE programs. The ideal candidate will oversee compliance, conduct inspections, and promote safety culture within the organization. Candidates should possess strong engineering or occupational safety qualifications, with at least 3 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of practicing experience in WSHO.
  • Registered Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO) by MOM.
  • Certified Fire Safety Manager (FSM) and/or Registered Environmental Control Officer (ECO) preferred.

Job description

Senior HSSE Officer

This position is responsible for implementation and establishment of all WSH/HSSE management system,
programs, and procedures for the company.
Responsibilities
• To serve as the designated WSH Officer and Management Representative for WSH/HSSE Programmes
• Perform day to day duties of a WSH Officer in accordance with all relevant legislations • Work with
stakeholders to ensure compliance with all relevant WSH legal requirements, codes of practices and
Singapore Standards
• Coordinate the formation of WSH/HSSE committee and conduct monthly committee meetings •
Prepare reports and presentation for related WSH/HSSE meetings
• Ensure compliance and the continuing certification of the relevant bizSAFE/OHSAS standards for the
company
• Conduct inspection to identify hazards and gaps at the respective workplaces. Track and monitor the
implementation of corrective actions.
• Conduct accident & incident investigations and recommend corrective measures to prevent a recurrence
• Identify and coordinate the relevant WSH/HSSE training programmes
• Organize HSSE corporate events and/or other related programmes to promote HSSE culture across the
whole company
• Recommend best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce work process risks, raise
safety awareness, and improve safe work practices.
• Any other duties as assigned by Director
Requirements
• Diploma/Degree in any field of Engineering/Environmental/Occupational Safety & Health
studies or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years of practicing experience in WSHO.
• Certified Fire Safety Manager (FSM) and/or Registered Environmental Control Officer (ECO) will be
added advantages.
• Experience in security & facilities management will be an added advantage
• Must be registered Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO) by MOM
• Familiar with ISO 45001 and permit-to-work systems
• Good knowledge and strong understanding of all relevant legislations
• Motivated team player with good interpersonal & communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
