An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Officer to uphold safety standards on construction sites. A highly qualified and experienced Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Officer who will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of health, safety and environment practices on our construction sites. This role requires a Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) with substantial experience in managing safety on construction sites similar to our projects.
Role Responsibilities:
Preparation and implementation of HSE Program
Develop, implement and review safe work procedures and Risk Assessment at project requirements
Participate and involve in ISO system implementation and audit
Establish WSH training matrix and programs for staffs
Promote and conduct safety & environmental Awareness sessions to all Staff and workers regularly
Ensure all work practices comply with company safety policy, statutory legislation and requirements
Assist in scheduling of HSE meetings such as committee, mass tool box etc
Able to lead fellow colleagues and inculcate them towards a safe working culture
Compile all relevant report and records, carry out daily safety inspection
Prepare and submit weekly safety report as required by management and clients
Investigate workplace accidents and injuries and establish corrective and preventive actions
Point out and discuss environmental health irregularities such as mosquito and fly breeding, rodent infestation, noise/ dust/water pollution, poor housekeeping, earth littering, poor refuse management, poor maintenance of sanitary facilities, etc. with the occupier of the construction site and recommend measures to rectify such irregularities;
Report and submit a Site Environmental Control Report to relevant stakeholders once every monthly
Organize campaigns, training courses and other activities to develop and sustain the interest of workers in maintaining good environmental health standards in the construction site.
Evaluate WSH non-compliance, unsafe work conditions and practices to identify WSH performance gaps.
Role Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Engineering or related with minimum 5 years of relevant experience in construction industry
Minimum 5 years of practical experience in WSH Officer relevant work in construction sector
Highly preferable to have LTA or PUB experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Application
Willing to be based at Tuas project site
