The primary focus of this role is to provide sound geotechnical consulting engineering services. The Senior Engineer shall demonstrate good familiarity with local design regulations, work well with people at all levels, and provide clear explanations of design ideas and construction procedures to others (both internal and external).

This is a contract role.

The Opportunity

  • Work under minimal supervision within a defined area of responsibility, including specific parts of external design projects.
  • Check the quality and accuracy of your own and others' work, and develop others through guidance, training, and feedback.
  • Provide detailed design work across a broad range of geotechnical engineering projects, including interpreting geotechnical parameters from site data, foundation design, and retaining structure design.
  • Prepare project reports summarizing key assumptions, design methodologies, conclusions, and recommendations.
  • Ensure adherence to all legislative requirements and other regulations governing Occupational Health and Safety within the office and on all projects.

Is this role right for you?

  • Recognized relevant tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or a similar area; preferably a Master's degree specialized in Geotechnical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 13 years of relevant industry experience in Geotechnical Engineering within a consulting business environment.
  • Membership of relevant professional institutions or significant progress towards eligibility for membership.
  • Proven working knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, codes of practice, and guidelines, including OH&S.
  • Ability to manage time, quality, and performance of allocated tasks effectively, and assist in maintaining quality systems within the Singapore office.
