OPTIMUM SOLUTIONS (SINGAPORE) PTE LTD is seeking an experienced Senior Full Stack Java Developer with a backend emphasis to join our engineering team supporting a major telecommunications client.

You will lead the design and development of high-throughput, microservices-based platforms, integration pipelines, and telecom web applications, leveraging Java, Spring, and React for robust, scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• 6 to 8 years of professional software development experience, with a proven track record as a Full Stack Developer.
• Core Java mastery with Java 11/17+, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, Hibernate/JPA, and microservices design patterns.
• Frontend expertise with ReactJS, TypeScript, Redux, HTML5, CSS3, and modern JS build tools.
• Telecom domain knowledge with experience on high-concurrency systems or OSS/BSS.
• Proven experience designing enterprise RESTful APIs and working with message brokers like Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Strong background in Agile practices, CI/CD tools, Git, and automated testing frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Backend Development (70%): Design, build, and maintain high-performance backend services and RESTful APIs using Java 17+, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud.
• Frontend Development (30%): Build responsive UIs and dashboards using ReactJS, Redux/Context API, and TypeScript to display real-time metrics.
• System Architecture & Telecom Integration: Architect microservices for high availability and integration with OSS/BSS, billing, CRM.
• Database & Data Pipeline Management: Optimise PostgreSQL/Oracle/MySQL; NoSQL; implement Kafka/RabbitMQ for event-driven systems.
• DevOps & Cloud: Deploy via Docker & Kubernetes on AWS/GCP; maintain CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Quality & Collaboration: Conduct code reviews, write unit/integration tests (JUnit, Mockito, Jest), mentor juniors in Agile/Scrum.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Full Stack Java Developer with a strong backend emphasis to join our engineering team supporting a major telecommunications client. You will lead the design and development of high-throughput, microservices-based platforms, integration pipelines, and telecom web applications. The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in Java enterprise frameworks, scalable REST API architecture, database optimization, and modern ReactJS interfaces.

Key Responsibilities

• Backend Development (70%): Design, build, and maintain high-performance, fault-tolerant backend services and RESTful APIs using Java 17+, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud.
• Frontend Development (30%): Build responsive, intuitive user interfaces and dashboards using ReactJS, Redux/Context API, and TypeScript to display real-time network and service metrics.
• System Architecture & Telecom Integration: Architect microservices for high availability, integrating with core telecom domain systems (e.g., OSS/BSS, billing, CRM, or provisioning engines).
• Database & Data Pipeline Management: Optimise SQL (PostgreSQL/Oracle) and NoSQL databases; implement asynchronous message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ) for event-driven systems.
• DevOps & Cloud: Deploy microservices via Docker and Kubernetes on cloud platforms (AWS/GCP); maintain CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Quality & Collaboration: Conduct code reviews, implement unit/integration tests (JUnit, Mockito, Jest), and mentor junior engineers within an Agile/Scrum environment.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related engineering field.
• Experience: 6 to 8 years of professional software development experience, with a proven track record as a Full Stack Developer.
• Core Java Mastery: Deep hands-on experience with Java 11/17+, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, Hibernate/JPA, and microservices design patterns.
• Frontend Expertise: Proficient with ReactJS (Hooks, Functional Components), TypeScript, Redux, HTML5, CSS3, and modern JS build tools (Webpack/Vite).
• Telecom Domain Knowledge: Strong preference for experience working on telecom applications, high-concurrency systems, BSS/OSS platforms, or real-time event processing.
• Database Skills: Advanced proficiency in relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MySQL) and query tuning; exposure to NoSQL solutions (MongoDB, Redis).
• Integration & Messaging: Proven experience with message brokers (Apache Kafka or RabbitMQ) and designing enterprise RESTful APIs.
• Methodology: Strong background in Agile practices, CI/CD tools, Git, and automated testing frameworks.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with TM Forum Open APIs or telecom-specific standards.
• Hands-on experience with service mesh architectures (Istio) and API Gateways (Kong, Apigee).
