Job summary

Virtusa is seeking a software engineer to translate business requirements into scalable 3D geospatial platform solutions. You will design, develop, and review application code within a collaborative team and maintain data pipelines across multiple environments.

Key duties include establishing DevOps pipelines via GitLab, implementing Terraform IaC for reproducible deployments, and ensuring compliance with security policies. Strong system design and Distributed systems experience are required.

Qualifications

5-7 years of experience in software engineering or enterprise system design.
Experience building interfaces and messaging between distributed systems.
Strong documentation and stakeholder communication skills.

Responsibilities

Translate business requirements into fit-for-purpose solutions.
Design, develop and review application code for the 3D geospatial platform within a team.
Build and maintain data pipelines across environments.
Establish DevOps pipelines including testing, scanning and CI/CD via GitLab.
Implement IaC using Terraform for consistent deployments.
Ensure applications comply with government security policies and standards.
Document architecture and design decisions.
Integrate applications with authentication systems with secure flows.
