Job summary

BYD BY 1826 (SUNTEC) PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to build the tech behind next-generation digital products and improve supporting systems.

You will own key technical decisions, contribute to architecture, and raise engineering standards across the board. You will work hands-on from concept to production, building frontend with Vue 3 and TypeScript, and backend services using Node.js and AWS serverless tooling.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Demonstrated experience owning technical projects and contributing to architectural decisions.
• Strong experience in full-stack software development.
• Advanced knowledge of TypeScript and modern JavaScript.
• Strong experience with Vue 3 or another modern frontend framework (React or Angular) with the ability to become productive in Vue 3.
• Experience building backend services using Node.js and TypeScript.
• Hands-on production experience with AWS CDK.
• Strong experience with AWS Lambda, API Gateway and DynamoDB.
• Strong experience designing and working with SQL databases.
• Good understanding of relational data modelling, indexing, joins, transactions and query optimisation.
• Good understanding of serverless and event-driven architecture.
• Experience with AWS services (SQS, SNS, EventBridge, Step Functions, IAM, CloudWatch).
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, authentication and authorisation.
• Experience with CI/CD, automated testing and production deployments.
• Ability to make sound architectural decisions and clearly communicate trade-offs.
• Experience reviewing code and collaborating effectively with other engineers.
