Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. in Singapore is seeking a Lead Software Engineer within the Commercial & Investment Bank’s Sales & Research Technology team to design and deliver market-leading, client-facing web applications for the Markets Execute platform.

You will apply strong front-end engineering skills, React, TypeScript, and modern CI/CD practices to build secure, scalable UI solutions with meaningful business impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in computer science or related field.
• 5+ years front-end experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, ReactJS and Redux Toolkit.
• Hands-on experience in system design, development, testing and operational stability.
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use and secure, compliant adoption in delivery practices.
• Experience leading the use of AI-assisted software development tools and setting team expectations for AI outputs.
• Proven ability to independently solve design and functionality problems with minimal oversight.
• Experience building high-performance web applications with a focus on speed and UX.
• Strong test-driven development and CI/CD practices in Agile environments.
• Experience working in financial services and with AI-powered development tools.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across cross-functional teams.
• Hands-on UI automation testing experience (E2E and/or integration tests) and CI/CD testing.

Responsibilities

• Build and support client- and sales-facing UI capabilities of the Markets Execute platform.
• Develop and evolve front-end architecture, including component hierarchies and scalable implementation patterns.
• Collaborate with Product Owner, UX, and QA to analyze requirements and participate in planning.
• Develop UI features using modern JavaScript/TypeScript and React with the existing component library.
• Influence design and delivery practices through code reviews and discussions.
• Mentor junior developers and improve delivery quality and reliability.
• Learn about financial markets through colleagues and workshops.
• Optimize web apps for performance and security; maintain operational readiness.
• Apply enterprise AI-assisted engineering practices with robust validation and secure coding.
• Utilize SDLC tools and AI-assisted development and automation to enhance value.
• Apply reactive programming and ensure stability with automated testing and CI/CD.
