Job summary

Activate Interactive Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking an experienced Front-End Engineer for the Co-Development Business Unit on a fixed-term contract (6 to 24 months). You will build high-performance frontend applications using React.js and Next.js, delivering accessible and scalable user interfaces.

You will collaborate with UX designers and backend engineers, apply best practices, and mentor junior developers while actively participating in agile ceremonies and architecture discussions.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong expertise in React.js and Next.js with modern patterns.
• Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5 and CSS3.
• Experience with frontend build tools, package managers and version control.
• Familiarity with frontend testing and CI/CD practices.
• Comfort working in agile environments and cross-functional teams.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of complex frontend applications using React.js and Next.js.
• Architect and implement responsive, accessible, and performant user interfaces.
• Collaborate with UX designers and backend engineers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Champion best practices in frontend development, including code quality, testing, and documentation.
• Mentor junior developers and conduct code reviews to maintain high code quality standards.
• Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to technical planning and architecture discussions.
• Troubleshoot and debug production issues whilst maintaining system stability.
• Ensure that the front-end modules developed meet functional criteria, performance and security specification)
