They are now seeking a Food Scientist, you will be responsible for researching, developing, and improving food products and processes. You will apply your expertise in food chemistry, microbiology, and nutrition to ensure product safety, quality, and innovation from concept to commercialization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate new food products based on customer requirements, market trends, and regulatory standards.
  • Modify and improve existing recipes for better nutrition, flavor, shelf-life, or production efficiency.
  • Conduct sensory evaluations and product trials to validate performance and consumer acceptance.
  • Study the chemical, physical, and microbiological properties of food ingredients and finished goods.
  • Research functional ingredients and emerging technologies for clean label, plant-based, or fortified products.
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation including formulations, lab notes, and test results.Ensure compliance with food safety regulations (e.g., HACCP, GMP, FDA, EFSA) and labeling laws.
  • Collaborate with quality control and assurance teams to troubleshoot product issues and support audits.
  • Conduct shelf-life studies and analyze nutritional content.
  • Work closely with procurement, production, marketing, and regulatory teams to support product launches.
  • Provide technical support during scale-up and commercial production.
  • Liaise with external labs, vendors, or research institutions when required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry, or related field.
  • Ay least 5 years of experience in food product development, formulation, or quality control.
  • Strong understanding of food ingredients, processing techniques, and sensory science.
  • Experience with food safety standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Innovative mindset, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and project management abilities.
