Job summary
Rohde & Schwarz Asia Pte Ltd is seeking a Senior Firmware Developer to design, develop, and optimize firmware for next-generation Monitoring Receiver products. You will work with hardware, DSP, and other firmware developers to deliver high-performance, reliable solutions.
The role requires strong embedded firmware experience, RTOS/bare-metal, Embedded Linux, DSP fundamentals, and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams to ensure product quality and reliability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 5 years in embedded firmware development; RF/wireless experience advantageous.
- Experience with RTOS or bare-metal environments.
- Experience with Embedded Linux or Linux device drivers.
- Knowledge of RF concepts and DSP fundamentals.
- Familiarity with high-speed interfaces such as SPI, PCIe, Ethernet, JESD204.
- Proficiency in Python or MATLAB for automation/testing.
- Strong problem-solving and team collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain embedded firmware for high-performance systems.
- Optimize firmware for low latency and efficient memory use.
- Develop device drivers, BSPs, and low-level interfaces.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate ADCs, FPGAs, RF front-end components.
- Support verification, validation, and production activities.
- Perform code reviews and ensure coding standards.
