Job summary

Jardine Engineering Singapore Pte td is seeking a Senior Fire Safety Manager to oversee fire safety compliance and facilities operations for commercial buildings in Singapore. You will manage M&E systems, coordinate safety plans, and ensure adherence to SCDF regulations.

The role requires SFSM certification and at least 4 years of relevant experience in building services, with strong communication and coordination skills to liaise with clients, tenants and authorities.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services, Facilities Management or a related discipline.
• Possess a valid SFSM certification and be eligible for appointment as SFSM for any building.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in facilities management, building operations or M&E maintenance, preferably within commercial buildings.
• Prior experience in commercial building facilities operations is preferred.
• Good knowledge of building M&E systems, facilities maintenance and fire safety requirements.
• Familiar with SCDF requirements, fire safety regulations and emergency preparedness procedures.
• Experience coordinating contractors, service providers and building maintenance activities.
• Good communication, coordination and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties as the appointed Senior Fire Safety Manager (SFSM) and ensure compliance with the Fire Safety Act, SCDF requirements and relevant statutory regulations.
• Support the day-to-day facilities management operations of assigned commercial building(s), ensuring safe, reliable and efficient building operations.
• Oversee and coordinate preventive, corrective and breakdown maintenance of M&E building services, including ACMV, electrical, fire protection, plumbing and sanitary systems.
• Develop, implement and maintain fire safety management plans, emergency response procedures and fire prevention measures.
• Coordinate fire safety inspections, fire drills, emergency preparedness activities and statutory submissions or requirements.
• Monitor contractors and service providers to ensure maintenance and rectification works are completed in accordance with contractual, technical and safety requirements.
• Monitor building conditions and M&E systems and coordinate timely resolution of operational, maintenance and fire safety issues.
• Liaise with clients, tenants, contractors, service providers and relevant authorities on facilities operations and fire safety matters.
• Support the achievement of contractual KPIs, Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and operational requirements.
• Ensure compliance with Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) requirements, company policies and applicable statutory regulations.
