An established industry player is seeking a Senior Fire Engineer to lead fire protection projects. This role involves managing project documentation, conducting design reviews, and ensuring compliance with standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chemical or environmental engineering and extensive experience in EPC projects. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and provide on-site support during construction phases. Our client, an established EPC contractor, is looking for candidates for the position of Senior Fire Engineer.
Responsibilities:
To act as the primary point of contact for tender preparation and the execution of EPC/EPCm projects, ensuring alignment with project goals and client expectations.
To manage manhour estimates and scheduling for fire protection systems, including the delivery of engineering work and project milestones.
To develop comprehensive project documentation, including fire protection philosophies, specifications, firewater and sprinkler system Piping & Instrument Designs (P&IDs), hydraulic calculations, and layout drawings.
To conduct thorough reviews and verifications of design deliverables such as datasheets, drawings, and vendor documents to ensure compliance with project requirements and design standards.
To coordinate effectively with clients, Project Management Teams (PMT), multidisciplinary engineering teams, and vendors to facilitate seamless project execution.
To provide on-site support during construction and commissioning phases to address technical issues and ensure successful system integration and startup.
Requirements:
Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical or Environmental Engineering from a reputable university.
At least 5–10 years of relevant experience in EPC/EPCm project.
Proficient in using and teaching others to use engineering software such as Pipenet, FlowMaster, PHAST, and AutoCAD.
Familiar with local and international standards for fire protection.
Capable of reading, analyzing, and interpreting various technical information, contract reports, and instructions.
Collaborative, self-reliant, and proactive, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Strong communication, interpersonal and technical skills.
Demonstrates strong leadership qualities along with analytical and reasoning capabilities.
