Job summary

United Overseas Bank Limited (UOB) in Singapore is seeking a Group Finance professional to handle monthly financial reporting, close processes, and consolidation activities for the group. You will prepare accounting entries, run GL reconciliations, and support SAP-based accounting workflows.

The role requires 2–5 years in financial reporting, with knowledge of SFRS/IFRS. Experience with SAP, XBRL filings, and statutory reporting is advantageous, alongside strong analytical and communication

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in accounting/finance; professional certification preferred.
• 2–5 years of experience in financial reporting, accounting, or audit.
• Basic knowledge of SFRS/IFRS and financial reporting requirements.
• Familiarity with SAP and reporting/consolidation tools is advantageous.
• Experience in statutory reporting and XBRL filing would be an added advantage.
• Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills; work well independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly financial reporting and closing for non-banking subsidiaries.
• Prepare accounting entries, GL reconciliations, and support SAP accounting activities.
• Prepare and upload trial balances and consolidation reporting information.
• Assist in the preparation of management reporting schedules, including investment, exposure, and P&L analysis.
• Support regulatory and statutory reporting activities to ensure compliance.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements, XBRL filings, and audit schedules.
• Process billing, intercompany transactions, and cost recovery activities accurately.
• Liaise with Business Units, Tax, and other stakeholders for reporting needs.
• Participate in process improvements, automation projects, and system enhancements.
