Job Summary

In this role, you will be responsible for the full spectrum of capital requests in Singapore Plant with responsibilities in SOX compliance, financial audit, corporate Tax and other areas. This is a full-time permanent position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Project Expenditure Requisition (PER)

  • Review capital requests and provide various input/support for business case.
  • Work with various stakeholders to ensure PER is submitted timely for approval.
  • Monitor monthly capital spending and monthly capital budget reporting
  • Liaise with various stakeholders to ensure the Annual Capital Budget is approved.

SOX Compliance

  • Responsible/co-ordination for SOX compliance matters/reporting/questionnaires with regards to internal controls, documentation and handling of queries from internal auditors.
  • Ensuring the annual financial audit is completed on time by handling or coordinating queries from external auditors. This also includes reviewing financial statements and audit adjustments.
  • Ensure the audit report is completed on time for filing.

Annual Corporate Tax submission and reporting

  • Provide/co-ordinate information to tax agents for tax computation and ensure that corporate tax is submitted to IRAS on time.
  • Quarterly tax reporting to head office.

Corporate Secretarial

  • Co-ordinate AGM, board resolutions etc. and liaise with head office/different parties for signatories. This is then filed locally with a corporate secretarial partner.
  • Oversight for the accounting and reporting for the operation in Taiwan by working with another finance member.

Any Other Matters

  • Any other tasks that are being assigned
  • Drive continuous improvement throughout all areas of work.
  • Able to work independently
Education
  • Degree in Accountancy or similar qualifications (i.e. ACCA)
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a factory and fast paced environment
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • SAP experience
  • FP&A experience preferred
  • Knowledge of new tools and technology e.g. AI
  • Experience in audit and tax in any Global MNC
  • Strong interpersonal skills i.e. able to work across functions as well as across countries.
  • Can communicate in English and Mandarin
  • Able to be aware of all relevant SOPs as per Company policy as they are related to the position covered by this Job Description
