A leading recruitment agency in Singapore is seeking an experienced accountant to manage full accounts and financial reporting. Ideal candidates will possess a Diploma or Degree in Accountancy and a minimum of 3 years experience, preferably in the construction sector. The role involves ensuring accurate financial reporting and supporting accounting activities. It requires attention to detail and strong teamwork skills.
Responsibilities:
Maintain full sets of accounts, including journal entries, accruals, provisions, and balance sheet schedules.
Ensure accurate and timely monthly closing, year-end audits, and financial reporting.
Handle daily accounting activities, including preparation of financial statements and management reports.
Oversee AP functions; manage AR and General Ledger (GL) accounts.
Assist in managing subsidiary accounts, including intercompany reporting and reconciliation.
Perform monthly and annual inventory reconciliations between control systems and ledgers.
Prepare and submit half-yearly tax computations and ensure compliance with tax and statutory requirements.
Support the Finance Manager with ad-hoc finance and reporting duties.
Requirements:
Diploma or Degree in Accountancy.
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in accounting, preferably within the construction sector.
Meticulous and able to work independently.
Team-oriented, with high integrity and a strong sense of accountability.
