OVERVIEW & IMPACT:

Samsung Electronics Device Solutions is a global leader in the Semiconductor industry.

Our regional Sales and Marketing office is seeking a talented technical professional to join us as a Field Application Engineer for the Large Scale Integration (LSI) team. The incumbent will serve as the main contact with our Headquarters team in Korea for our sales office in Singapore and ASEAN countries. Responsibilities include providing advisory, technical solutions, and leadership to customers and stakeholders. Using technical, organizational, and customer knowledge, the role involves influencing customers and assisting them in applying our products/services to their needs, resulting in revenue generation, new business opportunities, and future growth.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Communicate and collaborate with stakeholders to understand and resolve technical and quality-related issues.
  2. Maintain awareness of and communicate major technical issues to Device Solutions Regional and HQ Product & Engineering teams.
  3. Conduct regular training sessions to enhance technical and product knowledge among relevant personnel.
  4. Gather technical requirements and specifications from customers through close collaboration with Sales & Marketing teams.
  5. Support sales teams and customers with technical inquiries, including presentations on product strategy, features, industry technology, and competitive positioning.
  6. Ensure smooth operation of quality support for LSI products (Smartcard, CMOS Image Sensors, IoT).

Experience:

  • At least 5 years of experience in Field Application Engineering or Technical Support Management within the Industrial Electronics or Semiconductor industry.
  • Direct experience in the Smart Card segment (e.g., banking certification requirements, RFID troubleshooting) or Camera Image Sensors will be an advantage.
  • Experience in customer project design-in, understanding customer design flow, and follow-up on failure analysis issues (from minor problems to complex issues with HQ support) will be an added advantage.
