This site produces optical lenses such as spherical, aspherical and plano optics, with large machine shop capabilities and expertise in optical coating and assembly. Our photonic products and solutions serve a wide range of markets and applications in medicine, life science, industrial manufacturing, defense and aerospace, as well as research and development.

We are presently seeking an Assembly Technician to support the team in fulfilling customer expectations.

Responsibilities
  • Planning & execution of breakdown and preventive maintenance activities assigned by Supervisor.
  • Conduct facilities equipment troubleshooting, root cause analysis and implement countermeasures. Facilities equipment include but are not limited to electrical, air-conditioning system, WWTP, scrubber system, P&S system, clean room, fire protection system, etc.
  • Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance schedules with contractors and vendors.
  • Identify and resolve maintenance issues, troubleshoot malfunctions and implement solutions to minimize disruptions.
  • Maintain adequate and orderly documentation as specified by the department procedure.
  • Prepare regular reports on facility operations, maintenance activities and issues to the Facilities Engineer.
  • Provide support for on-time renewal of all facilities' equipment licenses and permits.
  • Monitor contractor performance and manage related administrative matters until work completion.
  • Work with cross-functional departments to resolve safety, quality and productivity issues and drive improvements.
  • Any other projects/tasks as assigned by the Supervisor, from time to time.
  • 24/7 standby to attend and respond to any breakdown or emergency situations.
Qualifications
  • Higher NITEC or Diploma in Electrical and Electronics / Mechatronics.
  • 5 years of relevant facilities experience in a manufacturing environment and in building management.
  • Hands-on experience in PLC, drives, automation, electrical circuits, mechanical, pneumatics, and hydraulic.
  • Team player to work with other functions.
  • Self-motivated and resilient.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Basic Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SAP skills.
