A leading healthcare company in Singapore is seeking a Facilities Manager to oversee maintenance and repair works in hospital and medical centers. This role involves managing daily operations, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and supervising projects with civil and electrical engineering knowledge as essential qualifications.
The Role
Responsible for the maintenance and repair works of hospital, medical centre and other associated business units as instructed by the management. Ensure the physical infrastructure and facilities of the properties are well maintained and kept in a state of good and safe condition.
Key accountabilities
1. Manage the daily operations of department and ensure that both preventive and corrective maintenances are done effectively according to schedule.
2. Supervise and co-ordinate directly with all stakeholders for all renovation, additions and alteration, repair and maintenance works to the hospital’s physical plant.
3. Plans and implements the periodic inspection or testing of the hospital.
4. Ensure that all the maintenance service contracts are in-force and current. Review the scopes regularly to ensure compliance with Authorities' guidelines and regulations.
5. Manage the preventive maintenance program on all M&E equipment, regardless of in-house maintenance or contractual services.
6. Cover the duties & responsibilities of the Fire Safety Manager during his absence.
Qualifications & Experience
1. Degree in Electrical Engineering with at least 5 years of working experience in M&E works and building related services; or
2. Diploma in Electrical Engineering with at least 10 years working experience in M&E works & related field of building services.
3. Minimum 2 – 3 years in a supervisory role.
4. Possess a Fire Safety Manager’s certificate or equivalent, e.g. Certificate in Fire Engineering is preferable.
5. Strong knowledge in Electrical, Building services and system.
6. Good Supervisory and Management skill.
7. Familiar with the Fire Safety Act and requirements of the various Government Authorities.
8. Experience in hospital environment preferable and will be an added advantage.
