Job description

He/She will lead the team to be responsible for the smooth running of the identified service points (Financial Counselling and Listing). He/She will manage, train and develop the team with the key aim of achieving and maintaining maximum accuracy, patient safety and care, as well as patient satisfaction.

He/She will need to be well-versed in all healthcare-financing related information and be familiar with all the IT systems that are required for patient care.

  • The candidate will be responsible for leading the team in the area of financial counselling and listing of surgeries in the outpatient clinic, through:

a) Providing accurate and detailed financial counselling to patients

b) Booking of operating cases into the operating theatre scheduler accurately

c) Ensuring that consumables required for OT cases are procured timely

d) Putting in place measures to ensure excellent and accurate service delivery for our patients

  • Other Duties as reporting officer for a small team:

a. Staff training and retention

b. Staff management and deployment

c. Work with the team to ensure that email / phone enquiries are responded to timely (within 3 working days for routine cases, and same day for urgent matters)

d. Attend to and manage patient enquiries / feedback

e. Ensure work desks / areas are properly maintained and upkeep

f. Where necessary, provide IT support and assist to liaise with ITD for IT matters

  • Support Clinic’s overall operations through working closely with all the stakeholders, including clinicians, allied health, ancillary and ops staff.

  • Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the supervisor.
