Job description

Duties and Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities (80%)

  1. Ensure strict adherence to Singapore’s Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines, the Human Biomedical Research Act, and all relevant Ministry of Health regulations and policies.
  2. Have a thorough understanding of the assigned registry’s protocol.
  3. Prepare and maintain Domain Specific Review Board (DSRB) submissions, including any necessary amendments.
  4. Collaborate with the registry custodian to review and confirm inclusion and exclusion criteria.
  5. Explain the purpose of data collection to participants and obtain their informed consent.
  6. Monitor participants’ outcomes closely, track their follow-up appointments, and ensure timely post-operative data collection.
  7. Organize and prepare data to support research studies conducted by doctors.
  8. Ensure each participant's assessment is complete and accurate.
  9. Verify that all data entered into the database matches the original source information.
  10. Maintain proper documentation and filing of all registry-related records, including regulatory documents, DSRB correspondence, and patient logs.
  11. Compile and present monthly reports and clinical indicators to both the registry custodian and reporting officer.
  12. Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to enhance clinical results and patient satisfaction.

Secondary Responsibilities (20%)

  1. Attend ward rounds, seminars, lectures, and training sessions as required.
  2. Take on additional duties as delegated by the Reporting Officer or senior management from the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences or a state-registered nurse with a diploma or advanced certification in medical/surgical nursing.
  • Preferably has prior experience in patient care.
  • Able to demonstrate clinical knowledge and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
