A leading shipping carrier in Singapore is hiring a Key Account Sales professional to drive business growth in the ocean freight sector. You will manage client relations, prepare sales proposals, and collaborate with operations to ensure service delivery. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of experience in ocean freight sales and possesses strong communication and analytical skills.
About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Key Account Sales (BCO) to join our team in Singapore. You will be responsible for identifying and securing new sea freight business opportunities, managing existing client relationships, and driving revenue growth through our extensive logistics network and products.
Key Responsibilities
To cultivate and drive continuous growth in business volume and profitability in the BCO Key Account segment.
Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers to develop strategic plans for accounts.
Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals.
Work closely with operations and pricing teams to ensure service delivery matches customer expectations.
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to identify growth opportunities.
Provide feedback and insights to internal stakeholders to improve service offerings.
Maintain accurate sales records, pipeline reports, and forecasts using CRM systems.
Meet or exceed monthly/quarterly sales targets and KPIs.
Assist in any other assigned duties.
Job Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Maritime Studies/Shipping/Logistics-related disciplines.
Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in ocean freight sales and/or managing key account in the container shipping or forwarding industries.
Proven sales execution ability of building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients.
Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation and problem-solving skills.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify market opportunities.
Highly motivated, result-oriented, and resilient.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in MS Office applications and experience with CRM tools.
Knowledge in Google suite apps is advantageous.
