About the Role

The Senior Executive, Quality Management will be responsible to review patient safety incidents and will work closely with stakeholders and Quality Assurance Committees (QACs) to identify and follow-up on action plans to prevent similar incidents. She/He will maintain incident statistics, monitor, and analyse the patient safety indicators to flag areas of concerns to Head of Department, stakeholders and QACs.

The Senior Executive will coordinate and facilitate QAC review for Serious Reportable Events. She/He will assist to support patient safety program, initiatives, and activities to achieve the institution’s objectives towards quality and patient safety.

Some of the Key Responsibilities Include

  • Review and analyse incidents reported in the institution to identify areas of concerns and work closely with Head of Department, stakeholders and QACs to develop appropriate recommendations/action plans and monitor effectiveness of the action plans.
  • Monitor the overall incidents reported in IRS and assist stakeholders with queries.
  • Conduct thorough incident investigation on Serious Reportable Events (SRE)
  • Coordinate SRE QACs and facilitate RCA to identify contributing factors and actions plans to prevent similar occurrence.
  • Provide administrative and secretariate support to SRE QACs.
  • Facilitate Standard based audits, effective discussions and decision making with key stakeholders to close audit findings with appropriate measures
  • Ensure effective collation, organization, analysis, and presentation of incident reporting data.

Job Requirements

  • Degree in in Nursing, Social Work or Allied Health disciplines.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in patient safety and/quality in healthcare
  • Knowledge of RCA and HFACS.
  • Proficient in MS office software
  • Has strong critical, analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Able to communicate clearly and succinctly using English.
  • Meticulous with strong ability to follow up on issues and implementation plans.
  • A team player with good interpersonal and communication skills.
