A leading company in the security sector is seeking a Purchasing & Logistics Snr/Executive to manage procurement processes and logistics operations effectively. The ideal candidate will have experience in sourcing suppliers, coordinating deliveries, and ensuring compliance with procurement policies. This role plays a crucial part in supporting efficient supply chain operations while maintaining strong vendor relationships.
Job Responsibilities:
The Purchasing & Logistics Snr/Executive supports the full procurement and logistics cycle — from purchase order processing to delivery coordination — ensuring that goods and services are ordered accurately and delivered on time. This role acts as a connector between internal stakeholders, vendors, and logistics partners to drive operational efficiency.
Purchasing
Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers for uniforms, security equipment (e.g., walkie-talkies, PPEs, etc), and other operational needs.
Process purchase orders, quotations, and supplier agreements in compliance with internal procurement policies.
Monitor price trends and ensure cost-efficiency while maintaining quality and reliability.
Ensure timely replenishment of stock and manage urgent purchase requests from operations.
Plan and coordinate deliveries and distribution of goods to various deployment sites.
Maintain optimal inventory levels and perform periodic stock checks.
Liaise with operations and site teams to understand deployment needs and schedule equipment dispatch accordingly.
Maintain proper documentation for incoming and outgoing inventory.
Maintain and update approved vendor list, contracts, and service agreements.
Evaluate supplier performance regularly and recommend improvements or changes as needed.
Manage after-sales service, returns, and warranty claims with suppliers.
Ensure all purchases and logistics activities comply with company SOPs and relevant regulations.
Maintain accurate procurement and logistics records for audit and internal reporting.
Generate periodic reports on purchasing activity, stock levels, and delivery efficiency.
Skills and Competencies:
Knowledge of procurement and inventory management systems.
Familiarity with security-related supplies and equipment is an advantage.
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
High level of organisation, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word)
Reliable, proactive, and resourceful.
Strong sense of accountability and integrity.
Able to work independently and coordinate with multiple internal stakeholders.
Pre-requisites
Diploma in Business, Supply Chain, or related field.
4-5 years of purchasing or logistics experience preferred.
Familiarity with procurement documentation (PR/PO/GRN) and basic Excel/SharePoint.
Able to work independently and under time pressure.
