Job description

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies, policies, and procedures in the logistics industry.
  • Source and evaluate suppliers, negotiating favorable terms and conditions.
  • Manage supplier relationships and conduct performance evaluations.
  • Ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services.
  • Monitor market trends and supplier capabilities to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of procurement activities with business requirements.
  • Coordinate and oversee the procurement process, from purchase requisition to delivery and payment.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, regulations, and ethical practices.
  • Generate reports and analysis on procurement performance, costs, and savings.
  • Stay updated on industry developments and best practices in procurement and logistics.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or related field.
  • Prior experience in procurement, preferably in the logistics industry.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes and best practices.
  • Experience in supplier management and negotiation.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office applications.
