Job summary

Rolls-Royce plc is seeking a technical engineer to provide spare parts support, maintain data for engines, and assist with after-sales provisioning for new engine sales. The role requires a degree or diploma in marine/mechanical engineering, familiarity with engineering drawings, and SAP MM.

The successful candidate will build and review data for parts verification and support warehouse operations, with opportunities to work on warranty assessments and technical inquiries across Rolls-Royce

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Marine/Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Experience or understanding of interpreting engineering drawings and part cataloguing is desirable.
• Proficiency with SAP MM and MS Office is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and advice on engine spares for customer inquiries and orders.
• Create and maintain Material Master, Parts Supersession, BOM and related data.
• Assemble maintenance sets and provisions for after-sales inquiries and new engine sales.
• Build engine and system data for efficient parts verification.
• Assist warehouse and customers on part identification and usability of stored parts.
• Advise on warranty claims and discrepancies related to parts supply.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical support and advice on engine spares requirement with regard to customers’ enquiries and orders
• Creation and maintenance of Material Master, Parts Supersession, BOM and other relevant system data
• Building up of maintenance sets and provisioning parts for after sales enquiries and system modifications as well as new engine sales
• Building up of engine and system data base for overall efficiency of parts verification
• Renders technical assistance and advice to warehouse regarding acceptance of incoming parts as well as returned parts from customers
• Advice on usability of stored parts when requested
• Technical assessment of warranty claims and discrepancies arising from parts supply
• Provide assistance to warehouse and customers on parts identification
• Recommend items to be inventorised based on technical information, campaigns and feedbacks from field
• Leads and guides junior executives in handling technical enquiries and project requirements
• Updates records/catalogues affected by technical modification of engines and systems
• Reviews relevant KPIs regularly and takes corrective actions if necessary
• Special assignment from time to time

Basic and preferred qualifications

• Degree / Diploma in Marine/Mechanical Engineering
• 3 years’ working experience in Degree in electrical and electronics
• Working knowledge/experience in interpreting engineering drawings and part cataloguing
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and knowledge in operating SAP – MM preferred
