Job description

The Centre for Research and Development in Learning (CRADLE) invites suitable applicants for the position of Senior Executive to manage the grant administration. The Senior Executive will be an integral member of a research centre, who advances CRADLE’s research goals in developing pedagogical innovations in a university setting. He/she will also be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of all research projects and initiatives overseen by the centre. He/She will work closely with the Centre Director and research team to support the smooth functioning of CRADLE. This is a 2-year contract position with opportunities for extension.

Responsibilities:

  1. Efficiently handle procurement processes, including raising Purchase Requests (PR), Purchase Orders (PO), and Good Receipts (GR).
  2. Prepare financial documents required by funding agencies.
  3. Verify project reimbursement claims accurately.
  4. Monitor and align the Centre's expenses with NTU and funding agency guidelines.
  5. Ensure compliance and prevent unauthorized purchases.
  6. Manage invoice submissions to grant agency.
  7. Coordinate with NTU Shared Services for procurement tasks and provide RISE verification coverage.
  8. Manage Director’s calendar and minutes-taking.
  9. Manage website and support outreach activities.

Requirements:

  1. Diploma or bachelor’s degree in finance, project management, or relevant discipline.
  2. Proficiency in Microsoft applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe.
  3. Adept at managing social media.
  4. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and strong time-management.
  5. Good written, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  6. An effective team player with a positive working attitude, as well as the ability to work independently.
  7. Flexible and adaptable to ambiguous situations.
  8. Self-directed learner who effectively picks up relevant skills as needed.
