JOB DESCRIPTION

As someone who is passionate about creating impact and helping to change lives in the Social Service sector, the role is critical to grow ABLE’s brand presence and awareness in the community, including key stakeholders, corporate and individual donors helping to ensure ABLE’s financial sustainability to continue helping the physically challenged overcome adversity and live normal lives. This role will play a pivotal part in enhancing our marketing communications efforts, campaign planning and event execution, fundraising and donor engagement, supporting business development initiatives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Campaign Planning/Event Execution & Community Engagement
  1. Create compelling and differentiated fundraising campaign assets and content that enable ABLE to stand out from other non-profits. This includes, but is not limited to, supporting the preparation of marketing collateral, fundraising proposals, donation appeals, sponsorship packages, appreciation letters / emails.
  2. Lead in the planning and execution of creative fundraising events and activities, including ABLE’s Charity Gala Dinner.
  3. Coordinate all event operational logistics, promotional materials, and post-event follow-up.
  4. Maintain a calendar of marketing initiatives/events, with a key mandate on fundraising initiatives on the relevant digital platforms such as Giving.sg, Giveasia, and Benevity.
  5. Work with the Head of CPC to develop mutually beneficial and creative partnerships with relevant governmental agencies, various grassroots communities, corporates, and other charities to create activities/programmes that elevate awareness and impact of ABLE’s 4Rs services.
  6. Prepare regular reports of key activities and highlight impact achieved for board meetings and engagement with donors and community partners.
Fundraising / Donor Engagement
  1. Partner with ABLE leadership, staff and Board members to develop a compelling suite of giving opportunities for donors to support ABLE’s cause.
  2. Plan and manage all publicity and outreach efforts for donor engagement and recruitment.
  3. Drive and cultivate new sources of donorship to expand donor pipelines and support the sustainability of ABLE.
  4. Manage and ensure donor database is accurate and updated in a timely manner to capture all donors’ details for targeted fundraising campaigns and TDR processing.
  5. Facilitate positive donor experiences by working closely with Finance to ensure all donors receive their TDRs in a timely fashion (i.e. within 2 months post-event).
  6. Work with the Head of CPC to develop a new Donor Management System (DMS).
  7. Maintain and update the Fundraising SOP as required, ensuring all donor-related activities meet governance requirements (e.g. COCC, IRAS, NCSS, MSF, MCCY etc.).
Other Responsibilities
  1. Subject to operational exigencies, must be able to work odd/after hours on public holidays and weekends.
  2. Undertake any other duties as required.
  3. Stay up-to-date with sector trends and governance requirements.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Multimedia, Business, or related field.
  2. Minimum 5 years of relevant marketing and communications experience.
  3. Possess excellent project management skills with the ability to effectively collaborate across functions and handle multiple tasks.
  4. Previous experience conceptualizing and managing innovative charity events will be an advantage.
  5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, adept at content editing and creation.
  6. Meticulous with the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines, proactive, enthusiastic, self-motivated and results-oriented.
  7. Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  8. Adaptable, resourceful and resilient professional who possesses good multi-tasking skills.
  9. Familiarity with CRM systems e.g. Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics or any database management systems.
  10. A good team player, compassionate, committed and accountable.
  11. Growth mindset, willingness to learn and open to new ways of doing things.
  12. Experience in Social Services sector, event planning, fundraising and donor management will be an advantage.
