Senior Executive, Finance Operation, NTU Shared Service - Finance
The Senior Finance Executive is responsible for overseeing and executing transactional and administrative processes related to student and NTU Student Union (NTU SU) reimbursements. This role ensures accurate, compliant, and timely processing of claims and payments within established financial policies and service-level agreements (SLAs).
Service Delivery:
- Manage end-to-end processing of Student Regular, Travel Claim, Community and Service Learning and Work-Study Scheme claims under NTU & Student Union.
- Review and verify the accuracy and completeness of supporting receipts and relevant documents, ensure claims are duly approved and comply with NTU financial policies and guidelines.
- Resolve discrepancies or non-compliance issues and escalate complex cases to the NSS Accounts Payable Lead as required.
- Reconcile data interfaces between internal systems and SAP; investigate and correct inconsistencies.
- Perform full set of accounts responsibilities for NTU SU, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
- Manage budget loading, monitoring, and carry-forward activities for NTU Student Union accounts.
- Coordinate year-end closing activities including accruals, adjustments, and final reporting for NTU SU.
Operational Governance and Excellence:- Follow up with students and departments to clear outstanding claims and maintain accurate expense recording.
- Assist with internal and external audit requirements and documentation related to grants and statutory accounts.
- Maintain and update SOPs annually; ensure alignment with evolving procedures.
- Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for claim-related system enhancements e.g. prepare test scenarios, simulate and document test results and present to supervisors for UAT sign off.
- Prepare insightful periodic reports/dashboards to supervisor for opportunity of improving service delivery and improve stakeholders' experiences.
- Submit quarterly GST reports; ensure accurate financial entries for payments.
- Oversee NTU SU annual audits, including collation and review of financial reports, auditor coordination, and ensuring timely approvals and submissions.
Requirement:- Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance or other related discipline or equivalent experience.
- With 3 - 5 years of relevant working experience.
- Knowledge of claim processing, preferably with experience in full-set accounting.
- Experience in system implementation and process automation
- Good knowledge of Microsoft office applications.
