WHAT TO EXPECT
You will assist on the day-to-day operations of the Finance team, which includes month-end closing and financial analysis. This role requires someone who is analytical and meticulous and will report to the Deputy Chief Executive Officer.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Financial Planning & Analysis
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, forecasts, and budgets to support strategic decision-making.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide insights on financial performance.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvement.
- Management Reporting
- Develop and maintain accurate and timely financial reports for senior management.
- Monitor key financial metrics and provide recommendations to enhance profitability.
- Support internal stakeholders with financial insights to drive business growth.
- Budgeting & Forecasting
- Lead the preparation of annual budgets and rolling forecasts.
- Work closely with department heads to ensure accurate financial planning.
- Assess financial risks and provide mitigation strategies.
- Cost Management & Profitability Analysis
- Analyze business costs and recommend strategies for cost control.
- Evaluate pricing strategies, margin analysis, and profitability assessments.
- Implement financial controls to optimize business efficiency.
- Business Partnering & Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with key stakeholders across departments to support financial decision-making.
- Provide financial insights to support business expansion and investment decisions.
- Act as a trusted advisor to leadership on financial performance and risk management.
WHO YOU ARE
- Diploma / Degree in Accounting or equivalent
- Good numeracy skills
- Minimum 3 years of monthly closing experience; experience with Xero is preferred
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team, think strategically, and plan effectively to deliver results
- A team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling collaboration and influencing outcomes
- Strong proficiency in Excel
- Problem solver with a can-do attitude and a desire to excel
- Thrive in a fluid, dynamically changing, and results-oriented environment
