A leading organization seeks a Senior Executive/Executive for Corporate Programmes to design and manage engaging events for MINDEF/SAF audiences. The successful candidate will play a key role in executing impactful programmes and working with various stakeholders. The role requires excellent communication, problem-solving, organizational skills, and a degree/diploma, making it suitable for an enthusiastic team player motivated to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
THIS IS A 2-YEAR RENEWABLE / CONVERTIBLE CONTRACT ROLE.
The Senior Executive/ Executive, Corporate Programmes 1, is part of the team responsible for conceptualising, designing, executing, facilitating and managing programmes and events for the entities managed by the Defence Collective Singapore (DCS), to engage various audience groups (to visit or as part of outreach efforts). The jobholder will report to Head, Corporate Programmes 1.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement events and programmes (includes conceptualisation, planning, coordination, monitoring, execution and facilitation) – with main focus on MINDEF/SAF audience.
Organise competition – NEmation.
Handle event enquiries, requests or correspondences.
Prepare pre-event and post-event logistics.
Work with Sales team to develop and deliver events and programmes for target audience
Coordinate with internal stakeholders, partners and external vendors to ensure smooth operations for events, including procuring goods and services for event execution.
Coordinate the deployment of Part-timers (PTs), External Facilitators (EFs) and Veterans for defence-related programmes.
Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) including delivery reports, NE surveys, and visitorship analysis for the programmes and events.
Handle and respond to feedback.
Support other team members in Corporate Programmes department, as well as School Programmes teams for key events / programmes, such as events planning and facilitation.
Other duties as assigned from time to time.
Challenges:
Needs to be able to effectively interact with colleagues within the Cluster and other departments, such as Sales and Events Management & Planning, as well as relevant external stakeholders, such as Nexus (MINDEF), to ensure timely execution of programmes and events
Needs to be able to ensure sufficient time is buffered for implementation plans, while managing internal/external stakeholders’ operational considerations.
Job Requirements:
Diploma/Degree in any discipline.
First-hand experience with co-ordinating National Education Learning Journeys will be an advantage.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking, communication, interpersonal, and facilitation skills.
Organised, able to multi-task and handle tight deadlines.
Takes initiative and able to work flexible hours when required.
Good team player who is motivated and also able to work independently.
Have a strong command of both written and spoken English.
Good knowledge and application of MS Office applications, especially Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
Basic graphic design skills (Photoshop, Illustrator) optional but would be an asset.
SAF military training experience would be an asset
