The incumbent will be in charge of growing SEED's Enrichment programmes and supporting the start-up (including operations) of a new retail format of the existing English and Chinese programmes. As part of the work, the incumbent will be expected to conduct classes.

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Programme Management and Enrolment
  • Liaising with centres principals and teachers on scheduling of programmes for the year.
  • Managing and assigning the pool of adjunct enrichment teachers to the appropriate centres.
  • Reaching out to new centres proactively to promote the enrichment programme and garner minimum enrolments to commence classes.
  • Working cooperatively and maintaining good relations with existing centre principals and teachers to boost and maintain enrolments.
  • Ensuring that the children’s materials and teachers’ resources are produced and distributed as required.
  • Managing the daily scheduling and rescheduling requirements of programmes at all centres.
  • Resolving any incidences or conflicts between adjunct enrichment teachers and centres.
  • Relieving enrichment classes where necessary if situation arises.
  • Delivering the contracted scope of duties as required of an enrichment provider at MFS, e.g., an annual assessment or performance to demonstrate the learning outcomes for the children.
  1. Adjunct Enrichment Teachers Recruitment and Quality Assurance
  • Recruiting, through all accessible channels (job portals, informal teacher networks, social media, etc.), the required number of adjunct teachers to deliver the programme that meet the target enrolments.
  • Assessing adjunct teachers’ suitability for the role and training them in accordance with the programme training framework to equip and prepare them. This includes an on-job-training period for new teachers.
  • Ensuring the adjunct teachers stay relevant to the programme by providing termly training to update and refresh them on the necessary curriculum updates.
  • Ensuring adjunct teachers’ knowledge and adherence to the health and safety protocol, including administering disciplinary actions if required and meeting incident reporting procedures.
  • Mentoring adjunct teachers to support their professional growth by providing guidance, feedback, and best practices, fostering a collaborative learning environment to enhance their teaching effectiveness.
  • Ensuring adjunct teachers are paid on time and in accordance with their scheduled classes.
  • Conducting classroom observations periodically to ensure teacher quality and standards.
  1. Programme Review & Development
  • Engaging centres and parents in regular feedback to improve delivery of programmes.
  • Performing a yearly review of the curriculum, resources, and training framework to achieve the required short- and long-term outcomes of the programme.
  • Making curriculum adjustments where necessary to meet programme outcomes.
  • Developing and piloting new programmes (e.g., holiday programmes, short-term programmes).
  1. Other duties
  • Any other duties assigned by RO.

Job Requirements:

  • Diploma/Degree in Early Childhood Education
  • Minimum 4 years of teaching experience in a childcare centre

Comfortable to travel around to centres in Singapore for classroom observations and teacher mentorship, as required.

Effectively bilingual and able to communicate and write in English and Chinese to help co-develop curriculum.
