Job summary

Ministry of Defence of Singapore seeks a professional to support local hospitality provisions for Foreign VIPs at large multilateral events hosted by MINDEF/SAF officials.

You will liaison with defence relations, coordinate visits, and manage protocol services to ensure top-tier hospitality and efficient event execution.

Qualifications

• Education in Hospitality Management or a related field is preferred.
• Knowledge of protocol and hospitality standards is advantageous.
• Strong coordination and organisational skills are required.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities under time pressure.

Responsibilities

• Perform liaison work handling defence relations and protocol services at MINDEF/SAF level and act as a POC to participating countries.
• Augment bilateral teams in planning and organising visits, including official and working visits, transit visits, and special programmes.
• Coordinate hospitality provisions and protocol services for Foreign VIPs attending large-scale multilateral events.
• Ensure finance processes are adhered to in accordance with MINDEF Financial Directives.
• Anticipate and respond to the needs and ad-hoc requests of MINDEF/SAF principals and their guests to ensure high-standard events.
• Maintain cordial and professional relationships with foreign Military Attachés and Embassy officials.

You will support the management of local hospitality provisions offered to Foreign VIPs attending large-scale multilateral events hosted by senior Ministry of Defence (MINDEF)/Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) officials.

What You Will Be Working On

• Perform liaison work handling defence relations and protocol services at the MINDEF/SAF-level, and act as a Point of Contact (POC) to participating countries
• Augment bilateral teams in the planning and organising of visits, including official visits, working visits, transit visits, and special programmes
• Coordinate hospitality provisions and protocol services for Foreign VIPs attending large-scale multilateral events
• Ensure finance processes are adhered to in accordance with MINDEF Financial Directives Challenge(s)
• Anticipating and responding to the needs, changes, and ad-hoc requests of MINDEF/SAF principals and their guests to ensure events are executed to the highest standard of protocol and hospitality
• Maintaining cordial and professional relationships with foreign Military Attachés, Embassy officials, and senior MINDEF/SAF personnel while managing competing priorities

What We Are Looking For

• Education in Hospitality Management or a related field is preferred
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in hospitality management is preferred
• Knowledge of protocol and hospitality standards is advantageous
• Strong coordination and organisational skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
