Overview and purpose of the position
Nestled in the lush evergreen town of Tengah, the new Tengah General and Community Hospital (TGCH) will be a new chapter in healthcare to provide a comprehensive range of clinical specialties and healthcare services including emergency, inpatient, rehabilitative and outpatient specialist care. As part of National University Health System (NUHS) cluster, this state-of-the-art facility is slated to be ready by early 2030s. Intricately connected with the surrounding community, TGCH offers the opportunity to create a healthcare facility of the future, tightly integrated with the residents and nature. We seek a dynamic team player and self-driven communications practitioner to journey with us in our vision in caring for individuals and cultivating thriving communities in western Singapore; and profile TGCH as an exciting and innovative health campus to come.
The incumbent will join the Communications team which oversees the internal and external communication efforts for the designing and building and eventual opening and operations of the new hospital. This includes assisting the team to implement digital/social media marketing strategies; create relevant content to publish across a range of digital channels (internet, intranet, email, social media, mobile, displays, events); manage social media marketing campaigns; analyse performance metrics and stay abreast of emerging tools, trends and platforms to drive engagement and conversion.
The incumbent will contribute to the full spectrum of communications projects, events and activities managed by the Communication team, and partner various stakeholders to execute communication plans and campaigns to shape the organisation; foster positive relations with stakeholders; and ensure consistent and compelling communications across various channels.
Job Responsibilities
Brand Management
•Protect and enhance the organisation’s brand and reputation through proactive and reactive communication efforts.
•Partner various stakeholders to ensure consistency of the corporate identity and aligned messaging, as well as adherence to relevant healthcare regulations and industry standards.
External/ Internal Communications
•Develop and execute digital/social media marketing strategies to support key project milestones and organisation goals.
•Develop compelling and creative content, including graphics, videos, and written posts for various external/ internal communication platforms and utilise channels such as internet, intranet, email, social media (Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok, Linkedin), mobile, displays, events, etc.
•Monitor digital/social media channels, engage with followers, and respond to comments and messages in a timely and professional manner.
•Analyse social media performance metrics and prepare reports to measure effectiveness.
•Collaborate with internal teams to align digital/social media content with marketing campaigns and business goals.
•Stay abreast of digital/social media tools, trends, emerging platforms, and best practices to optimise engagement.
•Stay updated to the latest health news and lifestyle trends that matter to various audiences.
Events Management
•Support external events to promote the organisation’s initiatives and achievements.
•Support department, institution, or cluster events/ community outreach as appropriate, including programme and logistics; invitation list, collaterals production etc.
Administrative
•Be involved in organisation/ committee projects as required.
•Undertake secretariate and administrative duties as required.
Requirements
Qualification Required and Area of Discipline
•Degree preferably in Communications, Marketing, Fine Arts, or a similar discipline.
•2 to 4 years’ experience of managing social media accounts.
•2 to 4 years’ experience in shooting photos, videos, and editing.
Required Competencies and Capabilities (Skills, Experiences and Professional Licences)
•Creativity: A flair for storytelling, visual content, and engaging copywriting.
•Social media savvy: Understanding of different social media platforms and their audiences.
•Proficiency in the production and post-production tools: Mobile/Mirrorless equipment, Software like Adobe Suite, Canva etc.
•Basic design skills are an advantage.
•Experience in supporting communications projects and events with multiple stakeholders.
•Good understanding of various communications functions including brand management, campaigns and publicity, events, external and internal stakeholder engagements, etc.
•Ability to multi-task and work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage content calendars efficiently.
•Strong interpersonal skills and team player who can build positive relations with different stakeholders.
•Ability to work independently, follow strict deadlines and fact-check information.
